Jason is a: Four time Ironman finisher, Two time Ultraman Finisher, Became the first physically-challenged athlete to finish the Ultraman Hawaii World Championship with a partially paralyzed right arm. Became the 23rd athlete in the world to finish both the Hawaii and Canada Ultraman - at the 2009 Canada Ultraman.

LIONS ROAR, LLC. NEW YORK (August 8, 2009) – The Arizona Diamondbacks Baseball Club will honor Ultraman triathlete Jason Lester, who recently captured a prized ESPY Award as the “Best Male Athlete with a Disability”, during pregame festivities on Monday, August 10 game against the New York Mets. Lester will be recognized by the Diamondbacks and its fans as the first-ever male triathlete to receive the coveted ESPY Award. Lester, who spent the last week of July and first days of August north of the border in Penticton, British Columbia, competed in the Ultraman Canada competition where he enjoyed success in the field of 25 men and women. With his 14th place finish, Lester became only the 25th person to ever complete both the Ultraman Canada and Hawaii events out of 428 competitors who have entered both races.

Kailua-Kona’s Lester 14th at Ultraman Canada

Kailua-Kona’s Jason Lester placed 14th at Ultraman Canada Tuesday in Summerland, British Columbia, finishing the three-day, 320-mile triathlon in 30 hours, 48 minutes, 25 seconds.

Twenty-four individuals entered the event, which features a 6.2-mile swim, 261.4 miles of cycling over two days and a 52.4-mile run. Nineteen triathletes finished, with the 35-year-old Lester being the only able-bodied competitor in the field. READ MORE:
